- Use the salt block directly on gas fires, ovens, or coals (unsuitable for induction cookers). Heat it for 15 minutes on low heat, 15 minutes on medium heat, and 10 minutes on high heat. If you prefer to use it in the oven, insert the block with the oven turned off and heat it for 40 minutes at 70ºC. Increase the temperature progressively up to 250ºC.
For use on coals, place directly on the barbecue grill for 45 minutes.
Important: do not use the salt block if it is not hot enough, your food will absorb more salt than recommended. - When the temperature is adequate for cooking, remove the block and protect the surface where it is going to be cooked with a wooden board or similar. Place the meat, fish, or vegetables on the block, previously seasoned with our special Regional Co. seasonings, to give your dishes an exclusive flavor. Use the clamps to turn and plate the food.
- Let the block cool down completely, for at least one hour, before cleaning it. To clean it? Use a metal spatula or scourer, then clean with kitchen paper or a damp cloth. Of course, do not use soap or any chemical product, so that it does not lose its effectiveness.
Please note: with use, the block will become darker in color and reduce in size.
